But, the meat making staff there were local. Because of which tasty meat was not being made. Because of which the shop could not run, but in this shop Handi Mutton is prepared by skilled artisans from Champaran itself. These artisans prepare delicious handi mutton, hence the crowd of people gathers.

Sumit Srivastava, the director of the Handi Mutton shop, told that to make this, the mutton is first mixed with other ingredients including ghee, mustard oil, onion, garlic, ginger, curd and a paste of spices ground in mortar pestle. After this, putting this mixture in a handi made of earthen pot, its mouth is closed with kneaded flour. Due to which its taste and aroma do not come out.

It is cooked slowly on a low flame in a coal fire and is stirred continuously during cooking. Timing and quality of meat is very important in making this. He also told that the delicious handi mutton is available in Champaran. It is also being made available to the people in Chhapra. People are coming from far and wide to taste it. At the same time, Ranjay Mishra, who came to taste Handi Mutton in the shop, told that the taste of Handi Mutton here is very tasty.
